Free Kindergarten Preparation Program

Where: Trinity Episcopal Church
                 317 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 

When:  July 1 – July 19 (July 4 holiday)
                Monday through Friday
                9 am to 3 pm

                Orientation for parents and students:
June 28, 
5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

During the summer months, Trinity offers a FREE Summer pre-school program to qualified families with children entering Kindergarten August 2019. Breakfast and lunch is provided. Children receive instruction by a certified kindergarten teacher. Workshops are available for parents on ways to help your child with school. Participation is limited to children who qualify due to at least ONE of these factors: low income, foster care, English language learner status, or learning disability IEP.

What is provided?

Instruction by a certified elementary teacher with emphasis on learning the letters of the alphabet and their sounds and the “how to’s” of kindergarten.

Breakfast and lunch.

Daily supervised playground time.

Weekly local field trips.

Workshops for parents on ways to help your child with school.

How to Apply:

  1. Join us for juice and cookies at the Clarsville-Montgomery County Library (350 Pageant Lane) on Saturday, May 18 or Saturday, May 25 between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. Bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and documentation of income eligibility (EBT/SNAP card, documentation of siblings in free/reduced lunch program, etc.).
  2. Download the 2019 Preparation for Kindergarten Application here and mail or bring the competed application and a copy of your child’s birth certificate to this address (please call 931-645-2458 prior to arrival):

Volunteering

Volunteers are needed to help prepare meals for the students, weekdays, July 1-19. Please consider offering 1-2 hours of your time for either breakfast or lunch. Sign-Up Online soon!
