The season of Advent begins November 27. Advent is a time when we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ. It is meant to be a time of reflection and atime set aside to renew our connection to Christ.  Join us every Sunday in advent for the lighting of the Advent Wreath.

Advent Classes:

  • Wednesday Evening Advent Inter-Generational Class, 7 & 14, 6: 45 p.m. All ages are invited to join us as we create Advent Wreaths and Nativity Stones.
  • Stations of the Nativity, Sunday, Dec. 11 after the 10 a.m. service & Wednesday, 14, 6 p.m.
We will gather together as a parish and participate in the Stations of the Nativity: Meditations on the Incarnation of Christ. Experience Advent like never before.
  • Maya Angelou and the Freedom Poetry of Advent, Sundays 9 a.m.
    Starting Nov. 27
In this Advent devotional, biblical texts and simple, accessible practices interweave with Maya Angelou’s stirring vision of faith, freedom, and dignity. All you’ll need is your favorite Bible and Maya Angelou’sThe Complete Poetry (all the poems are also available online). Week by week, as we wait, and watch, and pray, we’ll walk toward Bethlehem – with Maya Angelou as our guide.
