Taking the Next Step
Taking the Next Step is the title for this year’s annual generosity campaign for the 2020 ministry support of Trinity Episcopal Church. The focus of Taking the Next Step is on our need as a follower of Jesus to give rather than the church’s need to get. This campaign will invite each person to pray, “God, based on Your goodness in my life, where would You want me to be in my giving?” as we seek to grow in our own spiritual journey.
In the coming weeks you will not be hearing about next year’s budget or the financial needs of the church. You will be hearing what God has to say to us about giving, about the foundational giving principles in the Scriptures and how your life and faith will be impacted as you take the next step in the Giving Path. Only after we have each offered our responses will our leadership create a Ministry Plan for the coming year.
How much do you need to give? That’s between you and God. Prayer should be the focus as you seek the answer to this question: “God, based on Your goodness in my life, where would You want me to be in my giving?” Over the course of the next few weeks, we will give you very specific tools to help you discover your next step in living and giving. This promises to be an exciting time in the life of Trinity. Will you take the next step?
