June 12, 2019 Update

Well, the organ restoration has begun. This will be a three-week project. Please pardon the mess however the goal will be worth it to have Trinity’s organ in pristine shape. Remember you can help with the cost of this restoration by donating online or in person:

1. Donate online here:

2. Contribute with a check (note organ repair on memo line) and put in the offering basket on any Sunday or mail to: Trinity Parish, 317 Franklin St., Clarksville, TN 37040.

Dear Trinity,

I mentioned last Sunday that repairs to the organ and building will commence next week. The organ restoration by itself is a monumental undertaking, requiring all of the pipes to be individually removed and cleaned. After the pipes are removed, the plaster behind the organ will be repaired. We have a beautiful building and we are glad to be the stewards of such a sacred space.

Part of the stewardship of our space means that we have put money in a reserve fund for an occasion such as this – an unexpected maintenance event that the operating budget simply could not support. In this case, the organ maintenance event effectively cleaned out our reserve fund. Myself and the Vestry are thankful that those who came before us had the foresight to create and save in this a fund.

Some people have asked me if they can assist financially to the organ repair. My answer is, of course, yes! Any money that we can leave in our reserve fund would be wonderful to have for the next “rainy day.” The following are ways in which you may donate money toward the organ restoration:

1. Donate online here:

2. Contribute with a check (note organ repair on memo line) and put in the offering basket on any Sunday or mail to: Trinity Parish, 317 Franklin St., Clarksville, TN 37040.

Thank you so much for your patience while the organ is out of order and the chancel is in a state of disrepair for the next month or so. We are looking forward to that sweet music filling our sanctuary yet again!
