Youth Formation Sunday School / Youth Grades 6–12 / Youth Room Lower Level
Leader/Facilitator: Jan Hodgson
Our Sunday morning youth formation is growing! We use an Anglican-themed curriculum (David C Cook) called Bible-in-Life for our tweens and teens (grades 6–12). Bible-in-Life offers young teens a Sunday school experience that supports them physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and socially. Bible studies, discussion questions, teacher devotionals, and Biblical background will support students as they grow and explore their faith.
Each week, students focus on these four areas:
1. Connecting with each other and with God's Word.
2. Studying God's Word together and finding key themes and takeaways.
3. Exploring key themes and takeaways through activities and crafts.
4. Responding to God's Word by applying it to life.

Leader/Facilitator: Will Green
Take a journey through The Book of Common Prayer, the Christian life, and basic beliefs of our faith, guided by two Episcopal priests - Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. Walk through the liturgical year, the sacraments of the church, habits of daily prayer, and the teachings of Anglican Christianity. See how our prayer shapes our belief and our lives and how our beliefs lead us into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Godly Play (AUGUST - MAY) / Pre-School through Fifth Grades / Lower Level Classrooms
The Godly Play curriculum, created by Jerome Berryman, is used for our Sunday School classes for children ages 4 through 5th grade. The Godly Play approach helps children explore their faith using stories from scripture and our liturgical tradition. It allows children to “play” with the language of God and God’s people through sacred stories, parables, liturgical actions, and silence. The silence in particular gives time for children to “wonder” about the stories told. Without being given packaged answers, children in Godly Play are invited to make observations about God and God’s people out of their own experience. This allows children to become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. The program follows a story-wondering-response model, followed by prayers and a “feast” that concludes the class each Sunday. Parents are encourage to read "Beginning the Godly Play Year" here or below for more information, what happens in class, and ways parents can support their children.
