Credo: Youth and Adult Confirmation

Candidate Presentation: Sunday, April 7th - We ask all who are interested in being confirmed and/or received to attend service Sunday, April 7 as the congregation and Rector blesses and supports you on this journey to confirmation/reception.

Youth: Grades 6-12 will be held on Wednesday nights starting April 10th from 6:00-7:00PM
Adults: 18+ will be held on Sundays from 8:45-9:45AM starting April 14^th

Credo (from the Latin word meaning "I believe”) is the first word of the Apostles' Creed we recite at baptism as well as the summary of what we as followers of Jesus Christ believe about the faith we profess.

Credo at Trinity Parish, is a course that invites all people who are seeking to be confirmed or received into Episcopal church/Anglican Communion for the Rite of Confirmation. In this course, those seeking to be Confirmed or Received into the church learn about the Christian faith, essential Christian belief, church history, and explaining distinctive Episcopal/Anglican emphases, with the goal of giving the catechumen a deeper understanding of the confirmation vows they may choose to take and helping them live into those vows even before they are confirmed.

Credo is based on Three Core Principles:

Confirmation is the continuation of one's faith journey,
Confirmation is more than just a series of classes—its about how to have a living faith fully engaged in the life of the church,
Confirmands should emerge from their confirmation experience prepared for a life of Christian discipleship.

Credo is designed for those who have been baptized but not confirmed, and Christians who were confirmed in other traditions (Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Methodist, Presbyterian) but desire to be received into the Anglican Communion and Episcopal Church.

We will be holding two formats this year:

Youth: Grades 6-12 will be held on Wednesday nights starting April 10th from 6:00-7:00PM
Adults: 18+ will be held on Sundays from 8:45-9:45AM starting April 14^th

Both courses will run until the week prior to Trinity Sunday

I am originally from the “other” Montgomery County in the great state of Maryland but my adventures in ministry have led me to live and serve in varied communities such as the National Capitol Washington D.C. region, as well as Colorado, and Massachusetts.

Prior to serving in full time ministry, I worked for the Department of Homeland Security for 14 years, and the U.S Armed Forces. Currently, in addition to serving as a Rector here in Massachusetts, I am also a chaplain with the 101^st Engineer Battalion in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and looking forward to transferring over to the Tennessee Army National Guard when we arrive to Clarksville. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., and am currently a doctoral candidate at Duke University in Durham, NC.

I have been blessed by God to have been married to the love of my life Karen. We have a wonderful, kind, bright, and energetic son Ethan, who is active in Little League Baseball, Scouts, the All-City Band as a trumpeter and pianist, and currently serves as an Acolyte. Our family enjoys adventures, being in the outdoors, hiking, camping, and anytime we can be together. We also have a very sweet and wonderful dog named Bella who loves being around people and the adventures we go on as a family.
