Sacrament of Reconciliation
Sundays during Lent
8:30-9:15AM

Are You Looking To Deepen Your Walk With Christ This Lent?

On Ash Wednesday we were invited to the observance of a holy Lent and the practice of self-examination through common spiritual practices of Prayer, Fasting, Self-denial, and reading and meditating upon God's holy Word. But what about the Sacrament of Reconciliation?

Sometimes referred to as the Sacrament of Confession or Penance, The Sacrament of Reconciliation (though not a requirement for Christians in the Anglican Communion) is found in the Book of Common prayer, page 447. This sacrament allows us to unburden our hearts and seek God’s forgiveness in a safe environment, in the presence of a fellow human being, who is sworn to confidence and who serves as an instrument to declare God’s forgiveness and the restoration of right relationship to the penitent.

When confession is made to a priest, the absolution pronounced is given by one authorized by the church to declare God’s forgiveness. The priest is bound to keep confidential the contents of each confession, and never to bring them up again unless invited to do so by the penitent.

If this sounds like a sacrament you would like to experience this Lent, then come to the Nave on Sunday mornings during Lent between 8:30-9:15 AM. Enter into the side chapel located on the left hand side of the Narthex where Father Chad will hear your confessions and offer absolution through the Sacrament of Reconciliation

And remember, when it comes to confession:
Some May, None Must, All Should.
