Life Events

We share life together as a community. In addition to the important events marked by the church, many participate in the life of the Trinity through membership. Those interested in learning more about belonging at Trinity are invited to visit us every Second Sunday of the month after the 10 a.m. service for Newcomer Sunday. Sit down with clergy, staff, fellow members, and other newcomers to learn more about Trinity and The Episcopal Church.

Baptism

"Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in baptism is indissoluble" (The Book of Common Prayer, p. 298).

Trinity celebrates the baptism of adults and children on certain holy days every year. All baptism dates currently available for scheduling can be reviewed on the:

Baptism Request Form

Confirmation

Adult and youth candidates for confirmation complete a course that empowers them to take ownership of their faith, affirm their baptismal promises, and make a public commitment to Christ. Our traditional time for confirmation classes is after Easter and culminates on Trinity Sunday when the Bishop makes his annual visit to Trinity and confirms all of our adult and youth confirmands during Sunday services. If you were baptized as a child (in any denomination) but never were confirmed, this Rite is for you.

Reception

For those who have been baptized and confirmed in a Christian denomination that has a ritual of confirmation (such as Methodists, Catholics, or Lutherans) who wish to join the Episcopal Church, being received is the Rite for you. Our traditional time for Confirmation Classes is after Easter and culminates with Confirmation on Trinity Sunday and the annual Bishop’s visit.

We are taking interest for Confirmation 2024. Those interested in or learning more about Confirmation, Reception, or Reaffirmation into the Episcopal Church may complete the form by clicking the box below. All are welcome to attend any of the classes which will be offered through the Easter season. Those wishing to be confirmed and/or received will do so during Bp. Bauerschmidt's visit Trinity Sunday, May 26.

Marriage

Holy Matrimony is a Sacrament of the Church, as Christian marriage is a covenant that is made out of the Christian commitment of the two people. Ready to start planning and request your wedding at Trinity? Contact us at 931.645.245 or using the Contact Us form below.

Burials & Funerals

Burial

A columbarium is a sacred place within a church set apart for the memorialization of loved ones lost, and for the care, placement and inurnment of their cremated remains. A single space for “inurned” cremains is called a niche. Trinity's columbarium is located in Trinty's historic and beautiful sanctuary.

Funerals

A member of the clergy should be contacted as soon as possible after a death of a church member has occurred. Although burial is not a Sacrament in the Episcopal Church, we offer a holy time to pay respects to the deceased. Follow this link for the Funeral Guidelines for services at Trinity.
