God's PEOPLE

Church is people. Titles can wait — first, meet the congregation.

The People in the Pews

Trinity is a few hundred people — small enough that you will be known by name, and quickly. On any Sunday you will worship beside folks who have prayed in these pews for thirty, forty, even fifty years: retired teachers and professors, veterans and military families from Fort Campbell, choir voices of long standing, and people who know this town and love it deeply.

Many of us are grandparents — and we will tell you honestly, nothing makes this congregation happier than young families and children in these pews. Our kids are few enough that every single one is known, treasured, and prayed for by name. Bring yours; they will be spoiled within a month.

You will meet lifelong believers and people who came back to faith after decades away — and questioners in every pew. When our congregation was surveyed, more than nine in ten said Trinity is a place where differing opinions and beliefs live together in peace. Bring your questions; you will not be the only one asking.

And you will meet people who mean it when they say all are welcome. Asked what sets Trinity apart, our members’ most common answers were “the people” and “accepting of ALL people” — a welcome that crosses every line, including our LGBTQ+ neighbors. The thing our own members say we do best: making people feel they belong. Come find out — you will not be lost in a crowd here. You will be noticed, in the best way: known by name, missed when absent, and needed sooner than you expect.

Who Does What at Trinity

And these are the folks who keep it all running — who answer the phone, greet your kids by name, lead the singing, and turn on the lights.

Staff

Our office administrator keeps the parish office running Tuesday through Friday and can point you to the right person when you call. For most questions — service times, upcoming events, forms — this website is your fastest answer, and if you cannot find something, email . On Sunday mornings our nursery staff care for infants and toddlers so parents can worship in peace, and our choir director and organist lead the music that fills the church.

Vestry

The Vestry is our elected lay leadership — parishioners who make the practical decisions about budget, buildings, staff, and the direction of the parish. During our current clergy transition, the Senior Warden leads the parish. Members serve three-year terms and are elected at our Annual Meeting. Curious what serving is like? Ask the Senior Warden or any Vestry member — you’ll get a straight answer.

Parish Ministries Council (PMC)

If the Vestry decides the what, the Parish Ministries Council organizes the how. It brings the leaders of every ministry — worship, formation, outreach, parish life, pastoral care, stewardship, and communications — around one table, so good ideas get support and nothing falls through the cracks. Want to serve somewhere? The PMC is the front door. View Trinity’s PMC organizational chart.
