In response to feedback, Trinity’s Sole Mates Walking Club will expand our venues to explore walking trails in the Middle Tennessee Area. In addition, we will move our events to the morning to avoid summer afternoon heat index issues.
Our next excursion will be Saturday March 30 at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, Tennessee. We will meet at 8 AM in the Trinity Church parking lot to trave the 34 miles to the park visitor center.
There are bathrooms at the visitor center. The trails are shaded and on natural turf. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Leashes for children optional. Dress for the weather, wear appropriate shoes, Bring sunscreen, insect spray, and water. Trekking poles or walking staff would be helpful if you have them.
We will plan on 3-4 miles. As an added incentive, those who wish for a post walk treat might stop at Sweet Charlotte on the way back to Clarksville. Gormet popcorn and/or homemade fudge…nom, nom, nom.
